Door Plate / Flush Type Cleanout

Door Plate / Flush Type Cleanout

Door Plate / Flush Type Cleanout

(OP)
Hi,

I am wondering, is it possible to do a 10ft by 10ft or 8ft by 8ft flush type cleanout? Basically, instead of having a welded door plate, we would like to have one that we can bolt. Anyone knows where to start with this?

Thanks,

RE: Door Plate / Flush Type Cleanout

Anything is possible, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

First question to bat around, does the tank need to comply with API-650? If so, then no, you can't do that, 48"x48" is the maximum.

It would be vastly simpler to put in a large roof opening and lower equipment if needed.
