water coming through a 6" slab after screeding

water coming through a 6" slab after screeding

(OP)
Hi

We laid a roof roof slab about 9 mths ago, when it rain no penetration of water, then e put a screeding on top, now when it rains dampness can be seen on the underside of the concrete slab.
No visual cracks in the slab before screeding,we had some small airline cracks on screed joint, which have been cut and filled with silicon sealer.

It appears to be about .400 in from the edge of the slab.
Ideas as to why?

Thanks

RE: water coming through a 6" slab after screeding

It leaks because concrete is not waterproof. You need a membrane.

What was the screeding?
