Pump modeling
Pump modeling
(OP)
Hello,
I modeling a pump to pumping refrigerant. (in ORC system-HFC245fa,kinematic viscosity: 3.25E-7 m2/s, density: 1354kg/m3)
I'm trying positive displacement pump and centrifugal pump.
In positive displacement pump, I'm doing rotary pump because I found some research papers which used it in ORC system.
q=D∙w-kleak∙P (m3/hr)
kleak=kHP / v∙ρ
kHP=D∙wnom(1-ηv)∙vnom∙ρ /Pnom
And I used these equations for modeling but my supervisor told me that these equations highly depends on the nominal point.
So,he recommended to find other equations.
In centrifugal pump, the power must be changed due to higher specific gravity in applied system.
But I don't have any idea about to modeling it.
My problem:
Please give me
1. some specific equation to modeling positive displacement pump.
2. centrifugal modeling equation with higher density fluid than water.
Please give me any advice to me. Thank you

RE: Pump modeling
1) This looks like homework which is not allowed
2) What are those items? If you want a proper answer, list them all as w, kleak, could be anything. nominal what? A confusing and poorly written post generates few response.
