Reusable pocket thread

Reusable pocket thread

Reusable pocket thread

(OP)
In the reusable pocket dialog box, there is a check box "Threaded Hole for End Body"
Is this supposed to automatically add a thread if required?
If so, how does it work, and what is required to make it work?
Thank you.

RE: Reusable pocket thread

Yes, that's what it's for.

I'm not sure what you mean by "how does it work". I assume that you're placing a fastener from the Machinery Library and that you've selected a location to place the hole while in the context of an Assembly where there are multiple parts being joined together. If you've already selected a fastener and selected a location this option will indicate that the last component in the 'stack', starting with where the fastener was placed, will have a threaded hole instead of a clearance hole.

John,
Not using the Machinery Library, but sounds like something to investigate.
I have a screw from the MW standard parts that I have been using (after some modification) and wondered if it would work with this.
Thanks.

RE: Reusable pocket thread

This function was designed to work with the Machinery Library, or user-developed parts which have been made to work the way Machinery Library parts work.
