RE: NX to Inventor (UI)

As long as your not using Vault. Two weeks is good. I actually went the other way. Inventor 2012 to NX 7.5. (6 years ago I was on NX 2.0 and moved to a company on inventor 11) Be prepared for one thing......Lots of Crashes as compared to NX. Save and Save often. What inventor makes up for in ease of use, it gives up for stability of the software. Drafting will you will problably get in a day (very intuitive). Modeling should be easy, same type of feature tree. Assemblies will be a bit more confusiong. 3 different ways of creating ref sets. For exploded views you have to create a separate files. Also there is no configuration contol, especially when trying to have different bom views for variations on a design.
