exporting a file that will recognize etch lines

(OP)
Hi there,

So we have a Mazak fiber gear tube Laser and we are having problems that the step files we export from Creo with Etch lines, the program the Mazak laser uses (FX Tube) doesn't recognize the etch lines.

Does anyone know if and how we can export our tubes so that their program will recognize the etch lines?

thx

Rick

RE: exporting a file that will recognize etch lines

1: You can try doing a multiple loop selection.
2: Use ctrl+c) (ctrl+v) copy paste which will make datum curves.
3: Check options on export dettings IGES may have more options.

Etch lines are result of a split face similar to tangent lines and not actual curves.
