Spreadsheet with macros

Spreadsheet with macros

(OP)
Hi,
I am trying to save my spreadsheet file with macros. My UG is always saving the spreadsheet document as - I guess - xlsx file which cannot save macros (this should be xlsm) and I don't know how to change the file type.
It is possible to implement a new macro code but after saving, closing and reopening the spreadsheet the macros are gone. I didn't have this problem as long as I used Excel 2003, where the macros were saved in the standard xls file.
I already tried to set the standard saving type in my Excel basic settings to xlsx and xls, but this didn't work.
Is there any setting for my problem?

Thx
