Save Warning

Save Warning

Save Warning

(OP)
Can anyone please explain what this error actually means??

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No attempt was made to save the following parts.
Use the assembly navigator 'Refresh Teamcenter Information' command to update the modifiable column
and see why you are not able to save these parts.

(any number parts are listed here)

and an OK button at the bottom.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have gone to my assembly navigator and selected the part(s) and right clicked to which I see this 'Refresh Teamcenter Information'. The screen does a quick flash I try to save again and I get the same error dialog. It really doesn't seem to be having any impact on my assemblies, just more of a pain in the neck when trying to save the assembly always having to do this extra button click.

Thanks for any help!!

RE: Save Warning

Normally the message means that you have an assembly open, some of the components are modified but also write protected, ( released ?) and when you have the assembly the work part and press Save , NX will try save all modified components. Then the warning is of those components that can't be saved. ( = still modified after the save operation.)

Refreshing the Assembly navigator might show you the information "Released" or similar depending on what columns are visible. There is no need to refresh the Assembly navigator if you know the reason, refreshing will not change anything, only update what information is available in the navigator.

In a rare situation, you might be working on an assembly where one component becomes released while you have it on screen, then it "was fully writeable until" you pressed save. I.e NX will not check the status / update the assy navigator prior to you you press save.

Tomas
