Sweep Question

Sweep Question

Sweep Question

(OP)
Hi all,
I'm relatively new to NX8 coming over from Catia and had a question. I'm trying to sweep a simple section along a spine into another simple section. Is this possible just using sections and a spine or do I have to create guide curves as well? This is for tubing and was hoping to just use the center line(spine) as my guide but am having trouble getting it to work properly.
Thank you!

RE: Sweep Question

If you are creating simple round tubes, use the tube command. You can specify your centerline and give it OD and ID values.

If you have 2 sections and you want a surface (or solid) created between the two, have a look at the through curves command. You can also achieve it with the swept command, but you will need a guide curve and optional spine curve.

Ok I think I've got it. Thanks for your help!
