how to assign mass in ugnx 7.5

(OP)
Hi,

I am using some custom gear box (step file) in my assy. vender is not given the material details but he gave the total weight of gear box,
Now I have to add that weight to gear box.
In previous cases we are adding density to find the weight of component in this case I don’t have density I have weight only

Please help me how to add weight directly.

Thanks,
lohith

RE: how to assign mass in ugnx 7.5

If you have an Advanced Assemblies module you can go into...

Analysis -> Advanced Mass Properties -> Advanced Weight Management...

...and 'assert' your various mass properties data.

However, if you don't have a license for an Advanced Assemblies module, then you will have to divide the given weight by the volume of the part as measured using...

Analysis -> Measure Bodies...

...to get the needed mass density which you then assign to the model by going to...

Edit -> Feature -> Solid Density...
