Slope Stability Software

Slope Stability Software

Slope Stability Software

(OP)
We have a rather ancient (DOS) based slope stability program. We do not have the need for the more fancy (and costly) slope stability programs like SlopeW, but need to update things all the same.

There are 1001 different programs out there, so I thought I'd ask what people use and like. Again, looking for something a little less pricey than SlopeW. Just a decent slope stability program with surcharge/water/reinforcement options.

Cheers

Fixed Earth,

I was actually looking at them. Downloaded the demo version but much of the functionality is 'locked' so I can't tell what it can do. Happy with the product?

RE: Slope Stability Software

Check various university WEB sites. I'd bet someone has a free ware version of an old DOS program, updated for Windows.

DC;

Yes, very pleased with it. We do about half a dozen slope stability projects a year so we needed a versatile & affordable program. You can model any type of anchor force in this program. I also wanted a graphic way of entering geometry for proposals and it has that too. Some of the factors, you have to make them 1.0 in the U.S.

I used it for a slope repair job using helical soil screws. I also used it on a job with threaded bar anchors & post grout. I know that it also has a drilled pier support module so that if we wanted stabilze a failing slope with caissons, we can model it with this program.

Just make sure the program you select meets the checks on the attached page.
