modeling water hammer effect in static analysis
(OP)
Hello all,
I would like to input a water hammer effect into a static model. Could anyone explain if it is correct to introduce forces according with water hammer effect into the elbows?
Could anyone comment his own experience on this subjet?
Thanks in advance.

RE: modeling water hammer effect in static analysis
A change in direction produces changes in momentum and accompanying acceleration vectors, so it is apparent that the direction changes occurring at elbows would be a source of forces.
Independent events are seldomly independent.
