Pile Cap Connection

Pile Cap Connection

Pile Cap Connection

(OP)
Hi All,

I'm looking for help on the required connection between circular driven piles and the precast concrete pile caps that will sit on them. The structure is for a marine jetty taking mooring loads so the connection will need to resist shear loads and uplift. Would I treat it the same as a road deck whereby the pile would have say a pile diameter socket length in the cap and the cap would be grouted on to the pile via a tube and riser. But for marine works it must need someting more in terms of a shear connection.

Thanks

Hannis
