Help with Solidworks 2011
(OP)
I am trying to lend some help to one of the guys at my company who is not a member here. He is working in Solidworks 2011 for the firs time and is struggling with the lines. From what he and I can tell, you can only have solid or center lines. Is there a way to draw hidden lines / dashed lines that are not center lines? We've tried using the help menu in Solidworks, and it is of no use. All we can find is how to change all the lines to a few different styles. I've searched the forums here, and have not found anything quickly, so I figured I would ask and take the chance of sounding like a tard.
Thanks everyone!
Thanks everyone!

Do you know how to turn toolbars on and off?
(Right click in an open menu area. A list of toolbars will come up. The buttons for those that are currently on will show dark. If the Line Format toolbar button is not dark, press it to turn on the toolbar.)
Once the Line Format toolbar is on, just draw a line, select it, then click on the Line Format button. You will see several options, on of which is Dashed or Hidden. Select the one you want and your line will change to that format.

Sorry, I should have said this... he is working in a drawing. I will pass this info on and see if it helps.
Thanks
