Hi,
Can I use 1 WPS for welding (GMAW) of pipe of the same materials buth with different thickness of 15mm and 25mm ?
In ASME IX QW-403.3 it is mentioned that for test coupon of 25mm or under when base metal is more than 20% than that requaificationis needed. But this QW-403.3 is not referenced WPS essential variables in Table QW-255.
Really appreciate your help.

QW-403.3 is not applicable for your pipe welding.

So, to make myself clear, I can use the same WPS for welding 15mm pipes as well as for welding of 25mm thick pipes, right ?

It depends on the qualification test plate thickness and whether the short circuiting transfer mode was used. If your qualification test was made on 1/2" or greater material, yes.
