see thread809-316272: PONTOONS DESIGN OF EXTERNAL FLOATING ROOF

there is a book "Guide to Storage Tanks and Equipment" the authors are Bob Langer and Bob Long , you can get it from Amazone or from this site:
http://www.ais-engineering-books.com/books/pc/view...

this book contains an example on how to calculate/ size a pontoon roof.

My Opinion is that this example is a bit "doubtful" ..but it gives some guidance

my opinion only..

take care and thanks

RE: Pontoon roof / deck for a floating roof

hi carthago,
When giving a reference to a book it is vital that the authors name is correct. In your reference you have not met this fundamental requirement. By the way there are errors in the example but they are easy to spot.
