Your recommendation on the order of reading of the important standards (code of practice, ...) in the piping and pipeline field will be highly appreciated.

That is a far too general question.

ASME B31 Series..

If in Canada - CSA Z662 Gas and Oil Piplines.

API 570 - IN service Piping systems..
And any API Recommneded Practice/Guidline applicable to what you are doing.

That should keep you up late at night...for a few months.!
