Engissol Analyze Attic Truss (frame)

Any of you out there use the Engissol 2D Frame Truss analysis software package? Seems reasonably priced for the 2D package.

Was thinking about using it for some truss analysis. More specifically I was looking to use iot for the Attic Trusses, and other truss configurations that are a bit more demanding to solve by hand.

Thanks

RE: Engissol Analyze Attic Truss (frame)

It is an excellent application, which I have been using for one year and highly recommend.

We use it as well, and like it. Less black box- pretty easy to use.

Thanks for the input. Will it actually solve for member forces in indeterminate frames/trusses as well as simple determinate trusses?

Thanks again

RE: Engissol Analyze Attic Truss (frame)

Of course it will. Moreover, it will produce ready-to-print calculation reports, exportable to pdf, word and excel.
It can analyze simple and complex trusses, provide forces and displacements/rotations and plot the corresponding diagrams. As for its price I think it is reasonable.
