WRI/CRSI Design of Slab-on-Ground Foundations Deflection Calculation Example

WRI/CRSI Design of Slab-on-Ground Foundations Deflection Calculation Example

WRI/CRSI Design of Slab-on-Ground Foundations Deflection Calculation Example

(OP)
Does anybody have an example of the deflection calculation for WRI/CRSI Design of Slab-on-Ground Foundations method? I've got a company spreadsheet that had errors and is now (conceivably) corrected and I want to verify my results with a worked out example but can't find one. The calculation, as far as I can tell, is simply the calculation of the moment of inertia of the slab/grade beams plugged into delta=w*Lc^4*L'/(4*E*I); however, my required steel amounts to get within an allowable deflection seem too low. I know this method is less conservative than PTI so maybe that's just the way it is.

Anyway, a print-out of calculations or a design example would help me out a lot.

Thanks.

KGH
