Looking to be able to save the state of a feature dialog

Looking to be able to save the state of a feature dialog

(OP)
I specifically want to save what i have entered in to all the fields in a feature dialog.

I have several expressions that i want to use in the sheet metal closed corner command and want to make a button that brings up that command with certain fields already filled in with my expressions.

Is there an easy way to make this happen.

Thank you.

RE: Looking to be able to save the state of a feature dialog

You may want to check in your customer defaults.
Usually there are fields, like what you have, that can be set in there.

I have looked in the customer defaults. I was unable to find anything for default values in fields for the dialog.

I have attempted a macro to recorded me setting the dialog to the correct values. but nothing seems to work with me putting expressions in to the fields.

With the screen shot you provided I was able to get to the customer defaults for the command that I wanted however I cannot place any expressions in any of those fields.

Whenever I input an expression in to any of those fields it give me the error "The input could not be evaluated"

RE: Looking to be able to save the state of a feature dialog

Expressions can't be used as defaults since they technically only exist in the context of an actual part file. Your best bet is to create a journal/macro which would set all dialog entries once a session is up and running.
