printing problems

(OP)
All,
I am printing the assy dwg for a tool. paper is 11x80" since im printing full scale. The tool is a long cylindrical shape. When I print to the hp4500 with the black and with (hidden lines removed) option, it prints ok. If I want color (shaded with edges) that shows the hatch on all parts, but also has color, it just prints a straight line. Has anyone experienced this or similar?

thanks

RE: printing problems

11x80" ?
You may want to brake your view to make it fit on the page. Auto-fit to page will print a long part as a line.

Its a roll plotter. 11" wide roll x as long as you want. It prints perfect when I print (hidden lines removed) but when I print the view (shaded with edges) to show color, is when I have the problem. I was able to make it print when I print in the draft quality option in sworks. Its color, but the quality is horrible. I wonder if just changing he view to shaded bumps he memory up too high?

RE: printing problems

Have you tried printing to PDF first, then to the plotter?
