HELP requested with interpreting drawings specification

HELP requested with interpreting drawings specification

HELP requested with interpreting drawings specification

(OP)
I came across the dimensional specifications I have not seen before (see the images below): Datum enclosed within an elongated hexagonal shape; a datum enclosed with an elongated hex. shape with surrounded by "=" signs; a datum surrounded by "=" signs (without the hex. shape). I would be grateful for advice on interpretation of these.

Many thanks.

RE: HELP requested with interpreting drawings specification

The = signs appear to mean "symmetric about the centerline shown". I'm not sure about the hexes, perhaps an "inspection dimension" type callout?

Any clues in the title block?

Thank you. There are no clues in the title block; I think you may be right and the hexes are inspection / reporting dimensions.

SolidWorks has a round ended box that flags the enclosed dimension as an inspection dimension. This conforms to no standard anyone here is aware of.
