How can to weld CuNi to Carbon Steel (API 5L X52)

(OP)
Hi friend,
I have to weld CuNi to Carbon Steel (API 5L X52), Butt weld, thickness 5-7mm.
Which is welding consumable?
Which is Process (GTAW or Brazing..)
Which is parameter (Heat treament, Pre-heat.....)

Pls give me advice.

You can use specific aluminum bronze fillers, nickel filler F41, ERNi-1.

RE: How can to weld CuNi to Carbon Steel (API 5L X52)

What is the application? What are the operating parameters? What welding standard applies? What welding processes are available? Is there a preference for one welding process over the others? What are the production requirements, i.e., one piece versus many pieces?

Best regards - Al

I should add that GTAW process is recommended if you weld, although I have used pulsed GMAW for this joint as well. Preheat/PWHT will be based on Code requirements and thickness to be welded.
Is the joint configuration amenable for brazing?
