Question about associativity between copied .prt files?
Question about associativity between copied .prt files?
(OP)
Hello,
I wanted to change one part, so I`ve created a new folder, after that I`ve copied the file, renamed it and then i had 2 different files in different folders, with the same parts inside. Then i changed some features in the tree of the the second part. Surprisingly for me in assembly in witch the first part was assembled I saw that the part has changed. Could somebody explain to me why there is a relation between copied files with different names? How that associativity works in NX?

RE: Question about associativity between copied .prt files?
i hope you have not used a SAVE AS operation in context of the assembly to make a copy of your original part.
But if you have just copied the file and pasted into another folder (also renamed it) then i see no reason why this happened.
Can you please share some supporting images (am not sure if you can share the parts and assembly also)? I amy be missing your point.
