310 Stainless Steel -- Properties at elevated tempaeratures?

310 Stainless Steel -- Properties at elevated tempaeratures?

Does anybody know of a good source to find the properties of 310 stainless steel at elevated temperatures? I have found some but not all. In particular:
- Young's modulus
- Proof strength
- Thermal expansion coefficient
- Specific heat capacity
- Thermal conductivity

Most of the sites I have seen have only one or two of the above or else want money! Or only have the properties at ambient temperature.

Don't worry guys, Sandvik (http://www.smt.sandvik.com/) had the answers. Sandvivk 7RE10.

Cheers!

RE: 310 Stainless Steel -- Properties at elevated tempaeratures?

Hello,

310 stainless steel is largely used for high temperature applications in metallurgy processes, 316 being a possible alternative (lower Cr amd Ni). I checked the Sandvick tables but this is not evident.

I have an application at high temperature (900C) in a high oxygen atmosphere, in copper industry. We use the 310 for decades but do you know if there is a possible alternative in stainless steels with higher performance at high tenperature?
Thank you in advance for your help and advises.

How much strength and toughness do you need?
There are ferritic grades that will have better oxidation resistance.
If you need more improvement then you would be looking at Ni alloys.
There are some very strong high temp alloys, and they are expensive.
