CHILLER WITH CLOSED SURROUNDINGS

CHILLER WITH CLOSED SURROUNDINGS

CHILLER WITH CLOSED SURROUNDINGS

(OP)
hi all,

I have a doubt regarding the chiller ventilation... i m a begineer in hvac field my doubt is tht wthr the air cooled chiller needs ( or any chiller ) proper ventilation. bcz...in my site the chiller is surrounded by glass covering and the top is grill covering does it get proper ventilation.

specification : 176 tr air cooled screw chiller ( 1 duty - 1 standby )

My another doubt is that , thy have placed a pump between 2 fahus ...when i asked thy told its for pre cooling...can any1 explain y thy did tht...?

RE: CHILLER WITH CLOSED SURROUNDINGS

need more information. but since chillers are surrounded by cold water, typically the sapce they are in don't need extra cooling.

Ventialtion needs likely are driven by what else is in the room and refirgerant leakage (also may need refrigerant alarm system) ber ASHRAE 15/34

RE: CHILLER WITH CLOSED SURROUNDINGS

To the OP:
The way you write displays a lazy attitude which does not befit someone just starting a career.I would suggest going through the chiller installation manual where all clearances are stated.

RE: CHILLER WITH CLOSED SURROUNDINGS

If you have an actual question you should state it.

In complete sentences.

With proper use of punctuation, capitalization, and vowels.

If English is not your first language there is an English assistance forum here - although text gibberish is not supported.

Not doing so will simply result in your post being ignored by those most able to offer help.

RE: CHILLER WITH CLOSED SURROUNDINGS

In addition, a diagram would be most helpful.

Best to you,

Goober Dave
