Industrial Adhesive/Sealant

Industrial Adhesive/Sealant

(OP)
Can anyone recommend an industrial adhesive or sealant for installing a key into a slot? The key is a shear key for a hydraulic cylinder that will operate submerged in sea water. The slot is in a steel deck and the key is CRES 316. Since the fit between the key and the slot is tight (.000" - .011" gap), and the key will be loaded by the cylinder, the slot will not be painted. The adhesive/sealant will mostly be used for corrosion protection between the key and the slot. I was thinking of Loctite 648 or 680. Any ideas?

RE: Industrial Adhesive/Sealant

Loctite 648 or similar is a good place to start.
