ANSI / TPI 1 - 02 Question
(OP)
I am going through the TPI1 - 02 right now trying to determine the most appropriate method to analyze an existing truss and I had a question:
On Figure D4 @ Joints 1 and 5 there are two different vertical downward loads and one vertical support reaction. Where does the 82.7lb downward load come from? Why is it separated I guess is my question.
Thanks all

RE: ANSI / TPI 1 - 02 Question
If this is not the case, a hand copy of the figure, uploaded to this forum to look at would help with answering the question.

As EOR's we should take the responsibility to design our structures to support the components we allow in our design per that industry standards.

It is still very much a work in progress. I've been concentrating most of my efforts on the basic "fink" truss since it has been a learning process along the way. The plate calculations are hopefully the next feature that I add.
