what is the difference between viscous dampers and Viscoelastic dampers does any one have idea?

RE: Tuned mass dampers

Viscous dampers resist linearly with time when a stress is applied.
On the other hand Viscoelastic dampers have elements of both viscous and elastic materials. This means that they behave as elastic until a defined strain and then they have visous behaviour.
