RTJ Gasket with Partition

RTJ Gasket with Partition

Hi all,

Did anyone come across with high pressure STHE using RTJ gasket with partition? Any advise on the partition gasket to be used together with its material or a spiral wound gasket is better? Anyway, my design goes up to 1500lbs.

RE: RTJ Gasket with Partition

For what it's worth, I think nowadays SPWND's are (almost) always considered 'better' than RTJ's, or at least up to the same level in terms of leak rate.

Ya. Have done a few research on it and found that spiral wound can actually hold up to a vr high pressure rating and temperature. Thanks for ur advise.
