Setting Dimensions Style current

Setting Dimensions Style current

Setting Dimensions Style current

(OP)
I found a LISP Routine that I believe was supposed to allow one to enter a command at the command line and then select an existing dimension and the routine would make that dimension style current. However I could not get the routine to work.
Does anyone know of a LISP routine that can do this?
It would seem that it would be quite useful for any one.

Thanks for any help!!!!

RE: Setting Dimensions Style current

I don't know of any LISP ... ;(
BUT!
If you're in AutoCAD 2000i, WHY? ... don't you go to ...
View>Toolbars
And click "ON" the dimension toolbar.
The toolbar "allows" you to ***Set to the Current*** DIM STYLE by just pulling down the styles availble in the DWG file you are in.
If you don't want the entire toolbar then JUST copy that tool off that bar to a CUSTOM toolbar.

Just some food for thought...

I'm just trying to speed up my work. Because of that I use keyboard entry for my commands. Every little thing helps.

Hi,
You can enter "-DIMSTYLE" "RESTORE" as a command macro to get what you want.

Hi Charles,

Do you still have the lisp routine? E-mail me a copy
(grevark@aol.com) and I'll take a look at it. If I can't alter it or make it run, I'll try to make one for you. Include also your AutoCAD version.
