Triple Rated Material

Triple Rated Material

Triple Rated Material

(OP)
Hi,

In my datasheet, it is written as "ASTM A-53, A-106, API-5L, GR B SMLS (TRIPLE RATED) for Pipe"..What is mean by Triple rated material..Is there any standard for it???

Thanks

RE: Triple Rated Material

I have a feeling it just means that the standards listed apply concurrently to apply the most restrictive specification envelop for the pipe.

RE: Triple Rated Material

It meets the chemistry and testing requirements for all three materials specifications. Seamless carbon steel pipe is also often quadruple rated as SA/A-53B, SA/A-106B, API 5LB and API 5LX42.
