I modeled two piece of shell with surface to surface contact, I just want them not to penertrate each other, however, the effet of the contact beheaves like tie them together, can anyone help explain this?

while I tried to check the allow separation box, sorry for that I didn't explained it clearly. I just want no penetration, not tie them together

Plot COPEN or CPRESS to see if they have separated in places. To me it looks as if they have and have slipped a little.
