Weight meausrement in V5 ??

Weight meausrement in V5 ??

Weight meausrement in V5 ??

(OP)
I stumbled accross a situation where I get descrepencies in weight measurements. I have two unique Catproducts. Each Catproduct has the same parts and quantity. The only difference is the parts are oriented differently relative to their respective global origins. All the parts have been assigned weights. When a weight measurement is taken for each the values are not equal.

RE: Weight meausrement in V5 ??

Hmm, I saw something like this at one of my colleagues and when I checked CATProduct loaded was another version (from VPM) with a very small difference in shape...

If I remember correctly, there is in DMU workbench something which can help you to find if the parts are really identical....

If you are working without a PDM system (like VPM) are you sure the Search Order is same (by the way, are you measuring on same computer or different - maybe precision is different?).

@dtwo
Are the weights of the parts within the products up to date? I have noticed parts giving incorrect mass values when some features are inactivated - this would propagate to the products being off as well.
