tank capacity

tank capacity

(OP)
I am using a 3000 US Gallon water Tank capacity of a fire tank which is only use for 3 nos. hose reel each hose reel inside diameter is 25mm and outside diameter is 34mm. The length of the hose reel is 30 meters. Please tell me the capacity for both 30 minutes and 60 minutes.pump capacity is 100 gpm.
Please tell me if the tank capacity is enough for this pump

RE: tank capacity

you'd think that a 100gpm pump would last 3000/100 = 30min, no?

i'd think that a no3 hose has a design pressure, probably expressed in gpm.

not working with fire hoses, so i don't know what's reasonable and what isn't, i might work out the speed of the water ... you know the diameter of the hose, and you know the volume flow rate (a gallon is a volume).

not working with hoses, i don't know how the hose accomodates the drag. i mean i know flow in = flow out, and i'd expect that there'd be some loss along the hose ...

RE: tank capacity

What's the requirement? A singular "pump capacity" value come with a bunch of caveats, like pressure, which may affect your answer. What are the nozzle capacities? What I see on the web suggests that a single 1" nozzle is specified at 22-30 gpm. The nozzle requires a certain pressure to achieve that flow. The hose has a pressure drop. The net pressure required must be supplied by the pump. At that pressure, the pump with have a different flow rate than its maximum.
