ANSYS Solid bodies penetrating

ANSYS Solid bodies penetrating

(OP)
Hi All!

I have been using ANSYS for 3 months now but I experienced a problem.
I am trying to model a bend test; this includes having a pipe and two steel formers with defined radii. The pipe is anchored at one end and pushed at the other so that it bends around one of the formers and then, the loading direction is changed to the the same around the other former. My problem is that when I try to bend the pipe it penetrates the former (think it doesn't 'see it'). I changed all the contact options so many times but nothing really changed. I also changed pressure to force and displacement- nothing again. I have no idea where the problem might be. Can you help me out, please?

RE: ANSYS Solid bodies penetrating

Check contact status, penetration and pressure.
Build model and CNCHECK.
Make sure its not just a displacement scaling issue.
Check contact/target reals.
