Can a profile that cannot be translated into sheet metal be un-wrapped anyway in NX 7.5 ?

RE: Can this be done in NX 7.5 ?

Actually you can 'translate' it into something which is very close to being a 'sheet metal' part and which can then be unfolded. Granted, you have to make certain assumptions and take certain liberties, but you can get something which will do the job (see attached example). Please pay particular attention to the 'Tolerance' used when creating the Shell (it must be at least 1/10 of the thickness or less) and what the 'Bend Radius' is set in Sheet Metel Preferences before you do the Convert to Sheet Metal (set it to zero).
