MDB for Buildings

MDB for Buildings

MDB for Buildings

(OP)
I have project commercial building , 6 floors ,each floor 1000m.sq with 11 smal flat with SDB, the location of Electrical Room in the basement, the quotation as following :
I want to know how can I design the MDB for 6 floors , can I design number 2 MDB in the basment floor each MDB connected with some serval floors ??
keep in mine that the each floor with 11 SDB that’s mean we have 11 × 6= 66 SDB
It would mech apprcited if you can know the miximum size of MDB
also is it possible to connect 66 cable each 4Cx16+10 mm2

RE: MDB for Buildings

That will all depend on the local building codes in your particular location. I suggest you contact a local engineer who is familiar with your codes and the type of construction you are anticipating.

Best to you,

Goober Dave

RE: MDB for Buildings

since you quote wire size in mm^2, lets say your covered by BS7671. this can be done in lost of ways, including 2 MDBs to feed 33 units each, OR one sub-main for each floor, etc. Also consider u will need circuits for the common areas, building HVAC, etc. if youve never done this before, seek more experienced help with this design.
