How to rotate a beam in Ansys Classic

How to rotate a beam in Ansys Classic

(OP)
Hello eveyone,

I'm designing a steel truss brigde in Ansys Classic and I need to rotate some beams by 90 degrees. How can I do this? I am a beginner at Ansys and I'm completely lost - Ansys Help didn't help me so much!

Thanks

RE: How to rotate a beam in Ansys Classic

Hi!

Provided that you use a "modern" element-type such as beam188, is to use orientation nodes and/or orientation keypoints. Take a look at
ch. "7.5.2.4. Examples of Beam Meshing With Orientation Nodes".
