Hey does anyone know how these carbon fibre parts may be bonded to the aluminium lugs, i want to use a similar method on a project.

They're placed in the mold and the carbon and resin is layed up around them.

Proper surface preparation, epoxy selection, curing temperature, and pressure are the secrets to bonding carbon fiber to aluminum.

The detail design of that part makes me think that cosmetics were more important than structural integrity and efficiency. Designing a hardpoint interface so that it maximises the strength of the joint and uses the CF effectively is completely different from putting an aluminium bobbin into a bit of pre-preg cloth.
