NX8-Materials Library and management

(OP)
New NX8 user---
I have been looking for some information on how to create materials and save them in a custom material library that I can use on other models. I can not seem ot find, add, or edit the NX8 materials library, so I guess that I can create my own library and my own materials?
Can't find anything in the NX8 help about these steps. Any tutorials or info I am missing?

RE: NX8-Materials Library and management

Just do a search on 'material' in this forum and you will get any number of recent threads covering this topic.

RE: NX8-Materials Library and management

in UGII/materials there is a physicalmateriallibrary.xml file you can modify. If you don't mind XML, then that is the easiest way to add a material in my opinion. If you want it networked then you will need to do something else.
