Suitable Natural Gas Filter (sour gas services)
Suitable Natural Gas Filter (sour gas services)
(OP)
Hi everyone.
What is the suitable gas filter type for sour gas services?
I want to greatly reduce the amount of hydrogen sulfide, CO2 and H2O content as well as sand content. The hydrogen sulfide content is more than 100 ppm. CO2 is more than 50 mole %. Sand and H2O content is high (don't get the specific number).
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

H2S removal you can do by injecting an H2S scavanger, but 50% CO2 will defeat most things. Water you can use a cyclone or simialr scrubber, but gas will still be water saturated unless you send it through an absorbtion unit.
My motto: Learn something new every day
Also: There's usually a good reason why everyone does it that way

"Gas sweetening"
"Gas dehydration"
"sand removal from gas stream"
Enjoy.
