Over Current Protection on The Secondary ?

Over Current Protection on The Secondary ?

Over Current Protection on The Secondary ?

(OP)
Hello all,

I have a main circuit breaker panel that is fed from a 480v-208v transformer and the transformer is required an over current protection on the secondary, would the main circuit breaker be considered as protection for the transformer secondary or it is considered as protection only to the panel? if i need an extra fused switch to protect the secondary then i would have two over current protections in a row, the fuse and the main circuit breaker for the panel with nothing between them, is this a good practice?

Thanks for the feed

What is protecting the primary?

A 3P-125A CIRCUIT BREAKER IN ANOTHER PANEL THAT IS FEEDING THE TRANSFORMER IS PROTECTING THE PRIMARY

RE: Over Current Protection on The Secondary ?

NEC Article 240.21C2 permits these secondary conductors to be run 10' without additional protection, providing the conditions of this article are all met.
