Hi..

How to calculate the plenum box dimension...please advice.

just the method of calculation..... i have 2 FAHU's with 7000cfm each...had to calculate plenum box size for tht....wt are information are need ??

The design velocity for a plenum should be 0 fpm in all the four directions,now go figure...

Some of the plenum will take some of the dimensions of the air handling equipment or will have dimensions to accommodate trunk lines, it all depends where they are located; yeah I do agree with the O fpm although in actuality that will be difficult to accomplish.

1- Area in = area out
2- Trunk with two branches = plenum with two trunks
