Element distortion

Element distortion

(OP)
I get this warning message when I am doing some static coupled thermal-electrical-structural analysis and the simulation doesn't run saying too mant attempts made for this steps.

"16 elements are distorted. Either the isoparametric angles are out of the suggested limits or the triangular or tetrahedral quality measure is bad. The elements have been identified in element set WarnElemDistorted."

Any suggestion?

RE: Element distortion

A warning is just a warning. Some simulations run fine with distorted elements. You should check to see if these elements are in your region of interest. Next, use the job analysis (in > tools I believe) to check if the reason for all the increments are these bad elements (max force & displ tolerances can be highlighted)
