Ductile iron casing with RF or FF flange?
According to API 610, para. 5.4.2.2, cast iron should be flat-faced end.
Ductile iron is one type of cast iron.
Ductile iron is brittle and easy to be broken if we tighten RF type flange with the bolt by unknown force.
Therefore, it is better to use FF type for ductile iorn flange.
Is my understaning is correct?
