Hi,
i am rahul a mechanical engineering graduate..i have joined as hvac site engineer ... have sum doubts hope my seniors will help me..
1. How dosing pot is connected to return...is there any standards..??\
2. does water is constantly circulated through the stand-by chiller through even thou itz not working.

RE: DOSING POT CONNECTION
If "dosing pot" is meant to be a chemical feed pot, it is simple. You have a small line (1") from the discharge side of condenser or chilled water line routed to the feed pot with a shut off valve. From the feed pot (opposite side of the inlet) is another line with a valve routed to the suction side of the condenser or chilled water pump. Now with both valves closed, add chemicals. Slowly open both valves to get water circulating through the pot, till all the chemicals are gone. Close valves. I don't know of a standard for a pot feeder.
Running water through a stand by chiller serves no purpose. Just burns pump power. Why do it?

So if they dnt run water through the chiller whn in itz in standby mode wil thy close the valves..?? an make the standby chiller isloted without no water flow...??
