Hi firend,
Why in QW/QB-422 ASME IX not mention detail Minimum specified Tensile of A269 TP316. When I submit pWPS material A269 TP316 to my client, he reject pWPS. He said that: A269 TP316 can not use to qualify PQR. I don't why.

RE: A269 TP316

If you review the ASTM material specification (A 269), it will inform you that mechanical properties are not specified for this material, which is intended for general service.

RE: A269 TP316

yes, correctly, so you need to select whichever material is the same P Number and Group Number with A269 TP316 that it was mentioned a detail specified min. tensile.

RE: A269 TP316

Use ASTM A249 tubing for qualification, that spec requires min tensile values.
