Simulating Concrete Brick Wall

Simulating Concrete Brick Wall

Simulating Concrete Brick Wall

(OP)
Hi, I am trying to simulate concrete brick walls in Abaqus, initially for static loading and subsequently for impulse loads.
The wall is made of high density bricks just stacked on top of one another( no mortar, no rebar), five layers.
I am wondering whats the easiest way to model this.

If I model the bricks individually and apply friction contact between them, It may work, but it will be really time consuming as I will have to model ~1500 bricks and apply friction contacts.
Wonder if there is an easy way of modeling them other than the above mentioned.
Thanks
Mario.
