(OP)
Hi,

Does anyone have any good literature for tube fittings I.e. 3/8 od tube into 1/2" npt ports.

Thanks

D.

RE: tube fittings

Ask your Swagelok supplier for a catalog.
Don't lend it.

RE: tube fittings

It depends what particular features you are looking for, if you can be a little more precise you will get a much broader spectrum of answers.

What is the tube material and what would you like the fitting made of?

What sort of pressures are you dealing with? Are these static pressures or is there also a pressure peak or shock loading?

What is the fluid (liquids and gases are both fluids)? Some fittings have elastomeric seals in them and you have to find a compatible seal.

Do the joint have to be regularly disassembled, sometimes disassembled, or done up only once and that lasts forever?

Is the joint going to be made up directly in the fitting or is some form of pre-assembly/tube end preparation process viable?

Do you need to meet any particular certification requirements (type approved fittings)?

Swagelok make a truly excellent fitting... but so do many other companies.

Finally, which part of the world are you in? This affects availability and acceptability of the solution.
